The Blackburn Debacle What started with great promise with punters (me included) predicting a mauling for the visiting rovers came to a crashing disastrous end. 2 draws and a defeat in our last 3 games, clearly something's amiss. Its blatant and yes, statistically proven that the 4-5-1 formation doesnt do it for us in the premiership. Why tinker with the tried and tested 4-4-2 thats won us treble and a host of other accolades? Its beyond me. Its apparent most of the united fans share similar sentiments after "4-4-2" chants rang around Old Trafford at half time. Excerpt from Football365's Match Report "By half-time, with their team losing and fortunate not to be even further adrift, the Red Devils supporters gave full vent to their frustration. Since the very early days of his illustrious reign when he flirted with the sack, Ferguson has rarely had to endure such open criticism on so vast a scale. The cry of '4-4-2' came cascading down from every side of the ground, more voluble and intense than the demands for Wayne Rooney's introduction." In Sir Alex Ferguson we trust. In Carlos Quieroz we do not. Its about time we get rid of that daft portuguese cunt who'se tactics have won us jack. The game's certainly brought up some talking points: 1) Captain Scholesy? Who are we trying to kid here? *Gasp* 2) Park Ji Sung getting the nod ahead of Ryan Giggs? WTF? *Baffled* If only we had Giggsy playing the full 90 minutes we'd have had a natural leader on the pitch calling the shots. Scholesy is clearly past it. I cant remember the last time he had a half decent game. Sure Ferguson mentioned Kamikaze football, but Scholesy, for the love of god? Sheesh. Indeed a Suicide Pass that he played that led to d rover's winning goal. Injuries havent helped out cause either especially with 4 of our fullbacks out injured. Sheesh. On a bright note, we did play good flowing attacking football. We woulda definitely scored a handful on any other day. Kudos to Van Der Sar for keeping us in the game throughout. He's signing might just prove to be a godsend yet. In a nutshell, Ronaldo's expression summed up our afternoon. We're in dire need of dishing out an European Mauling. Beware the United Backlash.
