United 3 - 1 Charlton

So we've ushered in the post keane era with a rather convincing win over the Addicks. With Ruud van Nistelrooy scored twbagging 2 very well taken goals in a space of just five minutes to seal the win. We tormented Charlton throughout the first half with our slick passing abilities and we took our foot off the pedal in the 2nd half, only to be awakened by Charlton's equaliser.

Our attacking play was excellent and we created a lot of opportunities and we coulda bagged a handful of goals. Rooney and Van Nistelrooy were awesome up front. They might yet forge a 50 goal partnership this season. Its still too early to draw comparison with the Yorke-Cole partnership of 99 but yeah they might get there soon enough.

Scholesy had his best game of the season so lets all hope he keeps his passing accurate and precise for the Villareal game. Again he kinda fell asleep in the 2nd half as did most of our players till we were jolted outta our plight by Ambrose's equaliser.

Van Nistelrooy's finish for his first goal was unbelievable. Set up by Rooneys brilliant run into down the left flank showing immense strength to keep the ball and dribble it down the field and to cap off his run with a precise pass to Nistelrooy and the rest as they say, is history.

Superb Ball Control

I'm still rather undecided bout Nistelrooys leadership credentials, so far so good tho. This can only augur well for the future. If he keeps scoring, then sure, that'll do just fine, leading by example.

We're still rather suspect with our defending but hopefully we'll sort it out once Neville's back, hopefully against Villareal, which is gonna be one of the biggest games of this season. Its pretty much make or break in the champions league. Lets hope we carry this same form into the Villareal game and serve ourselves a Spanish treat with qualification into the 2nd round of the Champs League.
