A Long Overdue Update

So i've been away for a bit now, spent a week in Penang Isle which didnt go entirely as planned. For further details on my trip to penang, check out twocentsworth.blogspot.com. Got back to the sanctuary of my home on Saturday after which i was pegged down with rather tedious administrative procedures with regard to my uni application which explains why i've hardly had the time to blog.
So yeah, its all settled, ill be seeking greener pastures come february in the land down under, sydney to be precise pursuing my degree and masters in biomedical engineering.

Ow well, enough about that. Let me get right to my long overdue update on united. So we're sitting pretty on second place, nine points behind Chelski, through to the semifinals of the Carling Cup after our 3-1 victory against birmingham. We're now gonna embark on a quest to achieve 9 points with 3 victories on the trot in a space of 5 days kicking off with the boxing day game against West Brom on boxing day.
We're going into this game unbeaten in 7 games having scored in the last 12 games. The only team who can boast such a stat in the premier league. So it can only augur well for the future.
The 3 fixtures in question are as follows:

Monday 26th December 2005
Man Utd v West Brom

Wednesday 28th December 2005
Birmingham v Man Utd

Saturday 31st December 2005
Man Utd v Bolton

If we come away unscath with the full 9 points, we'd travel to Highbury full of confidence ahead of the game against the Gunners on the 3rd of January. I honestly dont see Chelsea dropping too many points in this period, but im keeping my fingers crossed that perhaps Manchester City will do us a huge favour by beating Chelski.

Here's highlights of the Birmingham game which ensured our qualification into the semifinals of the Carling Cup. Park Ji Sung scored his first ever United goal and Saha scored a brace with his second of the evening being a cracking goal. Sure hope we keep up with the form.
